I am excited to join the ICHARM, an international centre of excellence in water-related hazards. This is a good opportunity for learning the technological advancement at the centre as well as from Japan. I aim to use this chance to upgrade my knowledge and contribute to the disaster management works in developing countries. I look forward for a fruitfull time in ICHARM.

- Main Research Topic(s); 主な研究内容:

Climate change blended hydrological forecasting for disaster management and suggestion for integrated developmental policies in Africa. In addition, hazard mapping, reservoirs optimization for disaster management, environmental implications of extreme events, evidence-based forecasting and "easy-access" dissemination of forecast are among my research interests.

Double Master's degree, MSc in Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University and MSc in Water Supply and Environmental Engineering from Addis Ababa University and participation in various trainings and seminars. Since 2012, Mihretab worked for the Ministry of Water Irrigation and Energy of Ethiopia in different positions. He also have experience in private companies including an internship at Yooshin Engineering in South Korea.
