- I am working as a Senior Divisional Hydrologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation in Nepal. I have experience in the establishment of hydro-meteorological stations, including discharge and sediment measurements, development of rating curves, and operational flood forecasting and early warning for the general public and stakeholders. I am interested in modelling and research related to the impacts of climate change on the discharge of snow- and glacier-fed river basins in Nepal, and their potential effects on hydropower generation.
I would like to thank ICHARM and GRIPS for providing me with the opportunity to study and work closely with experts in the field of water-related hazards and management, in a dynamic research environment.
The knowledge and technologies in advanced DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction) from Japan not only enhance my skills and understanding but also contribute to my organization and country in achieving more effective disaster management.
