Message; メッセージ:
Knowledge on sediment transport and associate channel changes is very important for water related disaster management. I would like to assimilate sediment transport related knowledge in water related risk assessment and to provide information to the river managers for devising sustainable river management plan.
Main Research Topic(s); 主な研究内容:
Numerical modelling of sediment (bed, suspended and wash) transport and riverbank erosion, planform dynamics and channel changes, river meandering process, remote sensing and field observation, flood flow characteristics with sediment transport, sediment sorting and river behavior, coastal sediment dynamics.
