Technical Tour at Fukuoka Expressway in Fukuoka, Japan

The Task Committee G (Transportation System) hosted the 23th US-Japan Bridge Engineering Workshop during 5-7 November 2007, at the NILIM, Tsukuba Japan. The three-day workshop focused on: 1) seismic design, 2) retrofit, 3) multiple hazard, 4) bridge management.
In addition to the workshop, there was a study tour held after the workshop, November 8-10, 2007, visiting the following three locations: Shinsaikai Bridge and Megami Bridge in Nagasaki Prefecture, and a bridge construction site of the Fukuoka Expressway Route 5 in Fukuoka Prefecture (Photo).
