Joint research agreement between Tsuruoka City and
ICHARM has been concluded

ICHARM concluded a joint research agreement with Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, on August 10, 2021. Tsuruoka City was selected as one of the “SDGs Future Cities” in FY2020 by the Cabinet Office and has since been working on structural reform to transform itself into a “Smart city and digital government.” In this project, the city has recognized the digitization of disaster risk reduction field is considered as one of its most important challenges, and ICHARM has agreed to support them by providing its expertise in the area. ICHARM will introduce its Disaster Risk Information System (IDRIS) to develop a digital platform that collects and integrates information from different sources so that users will have access to relevant information on a single website and take appropriate action during emergencies.
