ICHARM/PWRI hosted the 9th International Conference on Flood Management (ICFM9) at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), and the Tsukuba International Congress Center in Tsukuba, Japan, on February 18-22, 2023 in collaboration with two partner organizations of Japan, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the GRIPS.
A total of 394 flood experts (212 from Japan, 100 from Asia, and 78 from around the world (4 unknown)) from 41 countries and area including Japan have participated in the 4-day conference in Tsukuba.
On the final day, we presented the draft “Statement of ICFM9” to the participants. The entire schedule, including the site visit, was completed without any accidents or illnesses. The next ICFM10 will be held in Summer 2026 in London, Canada.
