Research on upgrade of technologies for the reduction of manmade and natural slope collapse

In recent years, there have been frequent occurrences of slope subsidence and landslides brought about by heavy rains, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. As a consequence, the enhancement of disaster prevention technologies and the reduction of disaster damage have become urgent issues. In response, we have been researching GIS and IT-equipped monitoring technologies for manmade and natural slopes, hazard map production techniques and optimization of preventive construction works, as well as design measures and risk management technologies.
