Research on Comprehensive Water Cycle Models for River Basins

Urbanization and shifts in agricultural and forestry patterns in river basin areas are resulting in various water cycle-related issues, including water contamination and changes in ecosystems. To respond to these issues, it is essential that we build a consensus among concerned parties for effective flood control, water utilization, and to restore a healthy balance to the aquatic environment. Consequently, we are advancing research on comprehensive water cycle models that can evaluate characteristics and problems in river basins, indicate several alternative solutions, and are able to take into account substance flow patterns and ecological impacts.
