Research Cooperation Agreement
with the University of California at Davis

Since 1990, under the Framework Agreement for Cooperation on Scientific and Technological Research, the former Public Works Research Institute has collaborated with the University of California at Davis (UCD) on a joint research project to develop models to predict the impact of global warming on hydrological cycles, rainfall predictions and hydrological cycles. With its new found status as an Incorporated Administrative Agency, the Public Works Research Institute has concluded a new Agreement of Cooperation with UCD. This comprehensive agreement will not be limited to the previous joint research projects on hydrological cycles, but it is hoped will promote the exchange of personnel and joint research projects in several fields.

With the conclusion of the Agreement of Cooperation between the Public Works Research Institute and UCD, it is hoped that joint research projects will further enhance the quality of effective research. It is also anticipated that promoting the exchange of personnel will lead to the further widening of PWRI's international network.
