As an effort to put the technologies into practical use and promote them, we intend to form research consortiums to strongly follow up and support some of the new technologies (*) before they become popular.

Research Consortium

Regarding promotion of new technologies developed by PWRI uniquely or joint projects with the private sectors, we had delegated the promotion as well as exercise of intellectual property rights to the private sectors.
Now, along with the transformation of PWRI into an incorporated administrative agency, we are aggressively expected to promote our research outcomes to society and to contribute to promotion of utilization of the new technologies, quality improvement and cost reduction of infrastructure development.
We will actively follow up some of the new technologies developed by PWRI through new efforts including forming research consortiums before they become popular.
